The concept of Sip Fisher was not a lightning bolt of inspiration or a dream to work on. The premise was crafted in order to emulate the success of another game. A Game About Digging A Hole.

In order to create the idea of Sip Fisher we first broke down what we thought the important parts about A Game About Digging A Hole had.
Core Aspects
Able to see your progress and look back at your past work
Tactile action
Instantly understandable premise
Reason to stop doing the action from time to time (breaks)
Ability to randomly uncover little treats (ores in Digging Game)
Unknown, which then feels like infinity (maybe it really is infinite) (what could be out there?)
Instant progress
Progression is tied into more progress for less effort
Any idea we had needed to have all of these core aspects to some degree. We started coming up with various ideas to fit into these boxes and eventually settled on the idea of Sipping Water.
